The brilliant science fiction writer wasn’t writing about the so-called “super committee” in Congress that’s been tasked with finding a $1.2 trillion reduction in the rate of federal government growth over the next decade. However, the result of their decisions will likely reflect Heinlein’s apt description of the nature of all committees.
